IAC ORATIONS, LECTURES, SLIDE SEMINARS & AWARDS

 

1.      Dr. P. N. Wahi Oration: Delivered by a senior member of IAC to acknowledge and felicitate him/her for achievements and contribution in the field of fundamental, investigative or epidemiological cytology or in the field of education and training cytologists.

 

2.      IAC Academy Oration: Delivered by an Indian, a non resident Indian or a foreign national excelling in the field of cytopathology or related disciplines.

 

3.      Dr. Subhash Kumari Gupta Memorial Lecture: Delivered by an Indian, a non resident Indian or a foreign national excelling in the field of cytopathology or related disciplines.

 

4.      Guest Lecture: Delivered by an Indian, a non resident Indian or a foreign national excelling in the field of cytopathology or related disciplines.

 

5.      Ernest Fernandes Slide Seminar: Awarded to an active life member of at least 15 years duration having a good academic track record in cytology with publications as first author in indexed journals of cytology and presentations in this field, and who should have shown exemplary knowledge in teaching and/or ability as a diagnostician in their workplace.

 

6.      Nalini Bai Thakkar Award: Awarded to the best oral presentation at the annual conference of IAC by an MBBS doctor under the age of 35 years who is either doing or has done post graduation in pathology in India. The paper should have been specifically entered for this award to be eligible.

 

7.      Jwala Devi Award: Awarded to the best oral presentation at the annual conference of IAC of original work on practical methods in cytology by a cytotechnician or a cytotechnologist working in India. The paper should have been specifically entered for this award to be eligible.

 

 

8.      Sushil Malhotra Prize: Awarded to the candidate scoring highest marks during the annual examination of cytotechnologists conducted by IAC in that year. The candidate should score a minimum of 70% marks for consideration for this award.

 

9.      Dr. Bhaskar Reddy Prize: Awarded to the candidate scoring highest marks during the annual examination of cytotechnicians conducted by IAC in that year. The candidate should score a minimum of 70% marks for consideration for this award.

 

10.  Dr. Satya Monga Award: Awarded to the best paper published in an indexed journal by an IAC member below the age of 35 years in the field of  immunocytochemistry  

11.  Dr. Panna Choudhury Memorial Award: Awarded to the best original article published in Journal of Cytology during the past one year by a resident Indian.   

 

 

12.  Col. D.B. Nayar Memorial Award: Awarded to the best oral presentation on oncology at the annual conference of IAC by an MBBS doctor under the age of 35 years who is either doing or has done post graduation in Pathology in India. The paper should have been specifically entered for this award to be eligible.
